my friend just told me that there’s a secret second dashboard that solely contains posts from people you’ve turned on post notifications for, and when i click the link in the messages it opens it within the tumblr app, so the tumblr app also has a secret second dashboard for post notification blogs, and the only way to access it is to open the link for it within the app.

i literally love tumblr

i have a private pinned post that just has a link to this dashboard on it, it’s great. two dashboards for life

wow! i was really hoping someone would organically reverse-engineer this and find that dash.

here are a few other “secret” dashboards:

• Posts from your “crushes”
• “What you missed” (will be empty if you already visit Tumblr every day)
• “Trending”

these are all just taking existing feeds of content and putting them in a dashboard-like format… the “Stuff for you” tab/feed is the same idea.

this thing is an iconic piece of dragon quest history to me.

when people don’t know dq4, i explain alena by saying: she was the tsarevna of zamoksva. her parents wanted her to be a very typical dainty princess. she wanted to punch monsters. they locked her in her room. she kicked a hole in the wall and left. her room wasn’t even on the ground floor.

i definitely think minecraft won’t be the game for everyone in the end and that’s just how things are no problem but i do think *some* people who don’t get the hype of it just need to play with their friends and build a house with them. its also for doing things like this.

You know that study that found when doing a blind taste test the majority of people prefer pepsi over coca cola so coke changed their recipe to taste more like pepsi, and people actually liked the new coke a lot less because the people who were buying coke didn’t want it to taste like pepsi they wanted their coke to taste like coke. That’s what a lot of the new changes tumblr is working on feel like.

update: the gatorade didnt give the rice any flavor as i had hoped but the color is nice? Anyway i slapped some sweet chili sauce on it and now im eating the gatorade rice abomination while playing destiny 2
